    Day-sized instead of hour-sized

This list is deliberately bigger than the random activity picker. These are things that fill a day, involve leaving the house, and usually involve more than one person.

That changes when you spin. Spinning on Saturday morning is too late for half of these — the day trip needs a train check, the picnic needs food. Spin on Friday evening and you have a plan and enough time to prepare for it.

"Slow weekend at home" is on the wheel for the same reason "do nothing" is on the activity picker. Some weekends that is the right answer, and it is better to land on it deliberately than to end up there by default.

    For households that never decide

The failure mode is well known: it is Saturday at eleven, nobody has suggested anything, and now it is too late to do the good things.

    • Everyone adds three ideas. Nobody adds something the others would hate.
    • Spin Friday night. Whatever comes up is the plan.
    • Weight by effort if some ideas need more energy than others — Slow weekend at home *2 after a hard week is honest, not lazy.
    • Save it and reuse it every week. The list gets better each time you edit it.

Families with kids: let a child spin. Handing over the choice removes the argument entirely, and the wheel is more persuasive than a parent announcing the plan.

    Frequently asked questions

    When should I spin?

Friday evening. Several of these need a little preparation, and spinning on Saturday morning rules them out.

Can everyone in the house add ideas?

Yes — that is the version that works. Everyone adds two or three, and nobody adds anything the others would refuse.

How is this different from the activity picker?

That one is hour-sized things you can do alone. This one is day-sized plans that usually involve going somewhere with other people.

Can I weight the easy options?

Yes. Turn on Weighted choices and add *2 to the lower-effort entries.
