A fair wheel that shows its working
A random picker is only useful if people believe the result. So Wheel Cue does not ask you to take it on trust.
The result is drawn before the wheel turns
Every pick comes from crypto.getRandomValues(), your browser's cryptographic random number generator, and it is drawn before the first frame of animation. The spin is then aimed at the entry that already won, so nothing about the animation can change the outcome.
Equal entries, equal chances
With equal entries, every choice has exactly the same probability — and the strip under the wheel says so before you spin. Modulo bias, the small effect that would otherwise favour the first few entries, is removed by rejection sampling.
Weighted choices, stated openly
When you give an entry a bigger share, the wheel shows the new odds rather than hiding them. The result window always reports the actual probability the winner had.

Is Wheel Cue free?
Yes. Every tool works free in your browser, with no account, no sign-up and no limit on spins.
Is the wheel really random?
Yes. Each result is drawn with crypto.getRandomValues() — your browser's cryptographic random number generator — before the animation starts, and modulo bias is removed by rejection sampling. Every result window shows the raw draw and the arithmetic behind it. The full method is here.
Can I add my own names?
Yes. Type or paste a list into the box next to the wheel — one entry per line — and the wheel updates as you type. For a dedicated page, use the random name picker.
Can I paste a whole list at once?
Yes. Paste a column from a spreadsheet or a document and each line becomes one slice. Blank lines are ignored.
Can I stop the same result being picked twice?
Yes. Turn on Remove the winner after each spin and each entry leaves the wheel once drawn. How that changes the odds.
Can some choices have a higher chance?
Yes. Turn on Weighted choices and add *3 after an entry to give it three times the share. The result window reports the true probability. More on weighting.
Can I save a wheel?
Yes. Press Save under the wheel. Saved wheels are kept in your own browser on that device — not on our servers.
Can I share a wheel with someone else?
Yes. Send this wheel makes a link that carries the entries and, if you add one, a question. Send it on WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, Instagram, TikTok, X or by email, or post it to a class in Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams: whoever opens it gets the same wheel and spins it themselves. The list sits after a "#" in the link, a part browsers do not send to any server, though the app you send it through receives the whole link. A shared wheel holds up to 40 entries and 1,000 characters.
Can I put a wheel on my own website?
Yes. The embed builder gives you a few lines of code for Google Sites, a blog, a class page or a learning platform. Visitors spin the wheel right on your page, and it can hold up to 100 entries.
Can I use it for a giveaway?
Yes. The giveaway winner picker removes each winner automatically and exports a full result log with timestamps.
Can I use it in the classroom?
Yes, and it is built for it. The random student picker has no-repeat mode on by default and a fullscreen display for the projector. Student names stay in your browser unless you send a wheel as a link, and we never store them. A link carries the names inside it, so only send it to people who should see them.
